When we got the call that JOHN CAMERON MITCHELL needed some custom made floggers and various BDSM consulting for his controversial new film “Short Bus.” it didn't take more then a second to say YES!

For those of you who are living under a rock, JCM was the Writer, Director and Star, of both the amazing film and Broadway Musical named "Hedwig & The Angry Inch". We saw the play about 10 times and a bunch of us went to the movie the first day it opened so you could say we are pretty big JCM fans ;).

Short Bus tells the story of seven characters of different sexual orientations living and loving in New York. One of the characters in the film is a Pro Domme and that's where we came in. Details Toys designed a special flogger for the actress that would allow her to fully hit her co-stars and really get into her part, but still not hurt them too much. We also supplied all the BDSM props for the movie and Bo and Skye were personal consultants to Lindsay Beamish, the actress who plays the Severin, the Domme. Skye let Lyndsay sit in on a few of her live sessions and gave her various tricks of the trade, while Bo taught Lyndsay how to use a flogger and took her to various scene events, TES meetings and gave her insights to the lifestyle community. Also, there is a scene in the movie where one of the characters is masturbating to BDSM porn. When the movie comes out next spring, keep an eye on the video he's watching in that scene... it's a video of Domina Skye playing with one of her subbies!

Oh.... and just to make all you fellow Hedwig fans jealous. On one of the days of shooting, Bo dropped by the set to show John the flogger we built for the movie. John was so excited about it that he took his shirt off right in the middle of the commissary and asked Bo to "give him a little flogging so he could see what it felt like". Of course, Bo is now insufferable because he can say "I flogged Hedwig!!"
